About Kevin B. Simmons

Rinse & Repeat Productions is the production company founded by Kevin B. Simmons. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Kevin is a Brazilian-American filmmaker of multiple disciplines, working in production for the last 10 years, most of their 20’s. He now showcases their talent behind the scene as producer of several short films, documentaries, and live experientials. Watching movies as a young child was an opportunity to be close to not only his family, but their second culture. Making movies is a chance to build a community which represents the best parts of ourselves.

Every film set is an opportunity to grow and learn. While others focus on the creative and moral conundrum in developing great stories, I focus on the ethics in the set production. Communication, lowering set’s carbon footprint, logistics, scheduling shoot, security, and transparency are all core principles of my work.

I want to be worthy of your trust and understand how I can collaborate on every project to advocate for simplicity while achieving bigger set pieces safely. I want to provide options to my clients and collaborators to create space where artists are not stressed on budget, time, or “movie magic” to make cinematic art. I can and have worked in stressful environments. They have created problem solving methods and volumes of lessons learned well.

I offer not only my well-rounded expertise in film, but also the chance to build a future where we see filmmaking grow from it’s vaudeville origins to much a much humbler one; or, as we say in Houston, a ‘umble origin.
